Miti i Shimshon (Samsonit) ka lidhje me mësymjet që shoqërojnë zhvendosjen e Danit (Goudsblom 2001: 115). "Në ato kohë nuk kishte asnjë mbret në Izrael; secili bënte atë që ishte e drejtë”.
